Sorry, Jack.
Get ready to say bye-bye to your figurative, debatable golfing throne as the best to ever hit the links.
With all due respect to one of the greatest golfers, athletes and sports figures of the 20th century and beyond, Eldrick "Tiger" Woods has officially stolen the crown from the Golden Bear and had a black and orange paw print emblazoned on the front.
Mr. Woods isn’t just in your neighborhood Mr. Nicklaus when it comes to the king of the course. He is on your street, at your door and ready to invite himself in, plop down on your sofa and have you fetch sandwiches and his favorite Tiger-inspired energy drink.
Folks, if this past weekend’s performance at Torrey Pines didn’t convince you that Tiger Woods is the greatest human being - and we’re not sure he isn’t at least 20 percent robot by the way - that has ever picked up a set of clubs, then nothing will.
